Teamwork 'Rolls' Out This Beauty

Posted Tuesday 19th July 2016

Looking very handsome - this 1938 Rolls Royce Limousine has been fully restored by our team of skilled Lindum employees involving motor vehicle mechanics and joinery craftsmen.

The vehicle was bought at auction by Lindum Group in 2012 and has undergone a total refurbishment bringing it back to its former glory.

The project was led by John Hayhurst, Group Fleet Manager for Lindum, and involved our experienced motor vehicle mechanics and apprentices from the Lindum Plant division along with Lindum Joinery’s skilled craftmen who recreated all the original timber construction and features.

The car is thought to have been once owned by Dorothy Ann Lean, better known as film star Ann Todd who appeared alongside Gregory Peck as his long suffering wife in Alfred Hitchcock’s The Paradine Case in 1947.

The Rolls Royce now holds 'pride of place' amongst the extensive range of fleet vehicles and is used for special events.

Pictured above with the restored Rolls Royce are some members of the Lindum Plant Team who were involved in the project, from left to right, Andy Willows, John Hayhurst, Shane Leary and Dave Townsend.
