Lindum Plant supported this year’s annual schools event organised by the LGTA which took place at the Lincolnshire Showground on the 2nd and 3rd October.
Over 350 school children attended the event and had the opportunity to try a wide variety of construction related activities, including bricklaying, plumbing, joinery and digger driving courtesy of Lindum Plant.
Sara Hobson, Training Manager for Lindum Group, helped co-ordinate the activities for the company said “Although the total number of pupils who attended this year was reduced due to the teachers’ strike action, the event was still a great success. All those who took part in the workshops and practical activities had a great time and it has hopefully encouraged some of them to consider a career within the construction industry. We were so impressed by one young man, who showed a natural talent for operating the mini digger, that we have asked him to contact us about a possible groundworker apprenticeship in the future.”
Clive Hall of LGTA added “A big thank you to all the Lindum Employees who helped make construction week a success again this year”.
